Here is a collection of some locations frequently used for family portraits — however many families choose to use their property. The season and time of day will change the colors and scenery. The best time of day for outdoor portraits is an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset. This is known as the "Golden Hour" when the sky is most colorful. For a softer brigher look, choose 2 hours prior to sunrise or sunset.
